The Projects in ERMIS Africa are derived from the core programs and are designed to aid in the development of those programs while contributing evidently to the attainment of our mission. These projects form a platform that further dictates the activities of ERMIS Africa.  Currently,ERMIS Africa is undertaking the following projects;-

  • COMMUNITY MAPPING OF RESOURCES FOR DEVELOPMENT
  1. GIS for enhanced ecologiacl management (GISEEM): The project engage in facilitating local forest communities in mapping their forest-based resources towards advocacy, intergenerational learning, and sustainable forest management: The project is supported by SHALIN - a finish-based NGO and funded by Finnish Foreign Ministry.
  • Mainstreaming Traditional Ecological Knowledge system with the formal, informal and non-formal educationals sectors towards strengthening local adaptation capacity to impacts of climate chang: The project is supported by IPACC with funding from UNESCO

While our established programs have a strategic approach, our projects are short term and are intended to suit the needs of specific communities.
