2.4.1 Future Mapping
Step 1: The CDPC uses the village map that was initially created by the community members and transferred for preservation on flip chart, to populate it with the newly proposed development projects.
- The CDP ensures the following:
- Numbers of project are maintained
- Location enables accessibility by all members of the targeted community members
- Distribution of the project is done in an equitable manner
Step 2: The CDP then invites the whole community to discuss the future map
Step 3: The future map is transferred on the ground
Step 4: The community members are then invited to discuss, comment, and suggest changes on the future map with regard to the new proposed project
Step 5: The community once satisfied with the numbers, location, and distribution the project, ratifies /confirm the future.
Step 6: The community members should devise a way of ensuring the ratified map is maintained in guiding project implementation and monitoring process.
Step 7: The newly agreed upon map is transferred onto a flip chart and preserved to guide implementation and monitoring process
