ERMIS Africa notes that in today’s electronic environment, digitization activities have emerged as a pillar of knowledge management. Initiatives for digitization and knowledge management increasingly go hand in hand in the evolving global information society. While digitization initiatives refer to joint or collaborative efforts to convert existing library holdings, whether in print, graphic, audio, or a combination of all, into digital format commonly known as “electronic resources,” knowledge management (KM) refers to a range of practices used by organizations to identify, create, represent, and distribute knowledge. We acknowledge that lately, AI and Information Governance has increasingly become a powerful factor for Digitization and knowledge management respectively.
