- ERMIS Africa recognizes that human are fundamentally dependent on natural resources, and are thus obligated to ensuring the ongoing access to or a steady provision of natural resources. This has always been central to the organization of civilizations since time immemorial.
- Natural Resource management (NRM), is about ways in which societies manage the supply of or access to the natural resources upon which they rely for their survival and development. We consider NRM as a cross cutting issue.
